How it works
Attributed to a guard
The guard identifies themselves the same way they do at Roll-Call before logging anything, so every incident carries the name of the person who recorded it.
Severity decides who is alerted
The guard sets a severity, and it drives whether the control room is alerted. It cannot be changed after the entry is submitted.
Two locations, kept apart on purpose
The guard’s own position is recorded automatically and cannot be edited. That is the record that they were there. Where the incident happened is recorded separately and is optional, so a guard can report a fence breach from the guardhouse without it being mistaken for where they stood.
Photographs and witnesses
Both are optional, and both make an incident much easier to act on. Guards are prompted to photograph what they are describing before it changes.
A status everyone can read
Each incident gets a reference number and a status that the control room moves along. The status updates on the handset too, and each one has its own icon and name, so it can be read without relying on colour.
Nothing is overwritten
Guards add later information with Add info: a note or more photographs, each with its own time. The original entry stays exactly as it was logged, which matters when a claim or a dispute comes up months later.
Shift reminders
If the company switches them on, the handset prompts the guard at intervals to log an occurrence, even with no signal. A routine all-quiet entry is itself a record that the post was attended.
