What handset does Sentry need?Hardware

A 64-bit ARM Android device. No setting works around this, so check it before buying handsets for a site.

Does Sentry work without signal?Offline

Clock-ins, breaks, occurrence entries and visitor movements are saved on the handset and sent when signal returns, keeping their original time. Chat and the Employee Portal need a live connection.

How much mobile data does Sentry use?Data

We measured it on a real handset against the live system on 11 August 2026. A quiet post used about 95 MB a month, an office gate 105 MB, and a busy gate with photographs on every occurrence 226 MB. A 500 MB bundle covered every configuration we measured.
