What does a network installation include?

A typical office job for us is around 50 network points: one to every desk, and more in the boardroom. Most jobs cover all four of these.

    LAN cabling

Network points run to every desk and the boardroom, so each computer, printer and desk phone gets a wired connection.

    Wi-Fi

Access points placed so the signal reaches every office and meeting room, with a separate network for guests if you want one.

    Routers, firewalls and switches

MikroTik, Cisco, TP-Link and Ubiquiti equipment, set up and configured for your office.

    Your internet line

We monitor the connection and take it up with your ISP when it drops, so you are not stuck on hold.

Which network brands do you install?

MikroTik, Cisco, TP-Link and Ubiquiti. They differ in price, in how much they can do and in how they are managed, so we recommend one once we know the size of the office, how many people connect and what you want to spend. If you already have equipment from one of them, we can usually build on it instead of starting again.

How much does Wi-Fi installation cost in South Africa?

There is no single price, because the cost comes from the building as much as from the equipment. These are the things that move a quote up or down:

    • How many network points you need, and how far each cable has to run.
    • How easy it is to get into the ceiling, walls or trunking.
    • How many Wi-Fi access points it takes to cover the space, which depends on walls, floors and the number of people connecting.
    • Which brand of equipment you choose.

We quote each job on its own, with the equipment and labour listed, so you can see where the money goes.
